Jedi Force manipulation - a self healing technique for a stronger
heart.
Manipulating
the Force in certain ways can lead to a stronger and healthier body
if practised correctly. The technique below is one of my favourites,
as it promotes a stronger, healthier heart, and can be practised nearly
anywhere where you can sit or stand comfortably. Techniques like this,
which I learned from the long practise of chi kung (about 20 years now),
allows you to recognise and feel the energy aspect of the Force, which
enables you to become a better conduit for the Force, and, ultimately,
a better servant, as you are more in tune with the nature of the Force,
and reality.
The Technique
Please see the
pictorial below to help you with this technique. It helps if your visualization
skills are good, and if you have good mental discipline (a still mind),
but the energy that you manipulate is of the Force.
1) Prepare yourself
by first emptying your mind (it may help at first if you are in a quiet
and peaceful place). Form a circle with your arms in front of you at
about shoulder height, palms facing inwards with the fingertips of one
hand about an inch (a couple of centimeters) from the fingertips of
the other (see pictorial). Keep your back straight, don't slouch, and
breathe normally whilst staring at the gap between fingertips of both
hands.
2) Now, with
a still mind and your arms forming a circle in front of you, visualize
a white light moving from the center of your chest and along your arms
in a clockwise direction until the white light enters your chest to
complete one cycle (it may help at first if you close your eyes to help
with the visualization). Immediately continue Step 2) for at least 3
repititions of a full cycle (there's nothing to stop you practising
this longer than 3 repititions as you gain experience, but this depends
upon how long you can keep a still mind and hold the visualization).
3) I usually
end the technique firstly with my mind by ceasing the flow consciously
and by ending the visualization and then secondly by forming fists and
drawing them to my waist, or just shaking my hands - it helps to break
the connection to the Force (the energy can feel very powerful).
You might feel
a tingling, or nothing at all at first. I have practised this one technique
for around 20 years, and what began as a tingling sensation in my arms
is now a very powerful wave of energy that I direct around my arms and
chest when I practise this. Afterwards I always feel energized.
Warning -
if you have high blood pressure, or are unsure about your health, please
get your doctors advice before practising this technique (it might help
to explain that the exercise is a bit like yoga, depending upon your
doctor, of course).
The Stance
This technique
can be performed whilst sitting or standing, but to promote better posture,
it is best to keep your back straight.
