I’ve just invested in an Obi Wan Kenobi replica outfit, which I hope to use a lot of over the coming years. It feels comfortable and warm, and the belt and boots are ok too. I’m not too happy with the belt fastening - it’s velcro based and doesn’t feel like it will hold to my waist under too much stress. Here are a few pics.

Besides being a journal exploring Jediism and my role as a Jedi I will be exploring environmentalism and how we can all be environmentalists, as much as any person can be, and live within our means without adding to the man made threat to our Earth’s environment and our whole way of life.
I believe in technology and that technology and science will help get us out of this man made mess, but I also believe that each and every one of us, not just governments and business, must make a conscious effort to reduce not only our “carbon footprints”, but our full enviro footprint.
I’ll explore what this may mean, as well as report about environment campaigns in progress and any campaign successes I may share with my fellow global guardians at Greenpeace, WWF and others.

At this time there appear to be 2 “religious” movements that were inspired by George Lucas’ Star Wars:
Temple of the Jedi Order
http://templeofthejediorder.org/ - Which on the 25th December, 2005 received a charter as a Texas non-profit religious and educational corporation.
AND
Jedi Sanctuary
http://www.jedisanctuary.org/ - Which is a certified Jedi congregation of the Universal Life Church (file # 61842).
The main difference between the 2 movements seems to be about the master student relationship: The Temple of the Jedi Order uses the master padawan relationship, whilst the Jedi Sanctuary treats all members simply as Jedi.
At this time I’ve applied to join the forum and yahoo group of the “Jedi Sanctuary” in order to find out more about Jediism and the Jedi Sanctuary Ministry.
I’ll also be using this blog as a Journal of any further charity and environment action I may participate in and to highlight any such work that needs doing in order to make life better for all.
