Raising the Djed into the 5th Age of Man - 2012 prophecies and beyond

Raising the Djed

Raising the djed appears to be a practise that dates back at least to ancient egypt, and is thought to be a practise designed to counter times of chaos. The drums of the shaman and the chanting of the monks may also have similar aims of countering chaos and dark energies, in its many forms.

“Historically, the Djed was raised at crucial transitional times between cycles, evoking light and stability to dispel darkness and disorder. Such periods were the Winter solstices, the failing years of a reigning monarch or the coronation of a new one. However, according to the texts of the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the Djed served its greatest purpose and revealed its greatest mystery at the ending of one world age and the beginning of another. This is such a time!” by Vincent Bridges.

The time that Vincent is talking about is 2012 and the transitional years before and afterwords (the astronomical event that coincides with this prophetic date takes about 26 years). On December 21, 2012, for the first time in approximately 26,000 years the Sun will rise to conjunct the intersection of the Milky Way and the ecliptic plane.

We are in the last few years of the 4th Age of Man, and about to enter this new 5th Age of Man. It is thought that the ending of each of these ages of man was accompanied by chaos in the form of climatic and social upheaval, amongst other possibilities (the Great Flood).

If you look at the actual djed, which is a pillar, you may notice its technical appearance. It has been suggested that it looks like a capacitor, transformer and insulation device that could have been used to tap the ionosphere for power, or lightning, but we may have lost the knowledge of its operation since the last age.

The Egyptians themselves may have lost the knowledge of its operation, and may have used it as a focal point of worship - civilization around then may have been founded by survivors of the great flood, and much would have been lost in the way of knowledge and expertise. There are submerged cities and structures around the world, and if biblical accounts are to be believed then the calamity could have occurred within weeks (40 days and 40 nights).

Whether the djed was an actual device or not matters not at this point. The djed pillar also has symbolic links to the World Tree of Norse mythology, Yggdrasil, and other world trees in cultures around the world (mainly euro-asian).  The world tree basically connects different realities (underworld, this world, upper world) together - from my own experience I would say that the concept of all 3 realities overlaying our planet earth is a distinct possibility. Energies, light and dark, from above and below, converge in this material “middle” earth and affect life as we know it, especially conscious humanity, which is more apt to the manipulation of these and other, cosmic energies. If you take the underworld and upperworld into account then this planet earth is important to more than just humanity, and must be preserved whole.

Raising the djed is also thought to be a practise designed to raise awareness and consciousness whilst maintaining the peace and stability of order in cosmos. The djedi of old may have been the stable ones (they may have been mindful). I feel that consciousness manifests where it is able, but the Force flows through all, and we jedi may have some task to play in the raising of the Djed into the 5th Age of Man.

I am starting this thread to get other jedi’s feelings on the matter of what part the jedi should take. I feel that non action will not do in this case. Please post a comment if you have any vaild suggestions, ideas, or other input.

Coelescere Enclave accepts Jedi Richard Strange

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I’ve just been invited by Jedi Rivan Elan, and accepted into the ranks of the Coelescere Enclave, a community for jedi of serious mind. In fact you might not be granted much access to view or post until you’ve been accepted as a real jedi. Anyone is welcome, however, to come and have a look at what we are doing.

The following page will no doubt chart my progress as I explore this small but growing community of serious jedi.

Coelescere Enclave, Unity in the Jedi Way, and Jedi Praxeums around the World

Some of the Enclave’s jedi are already well known to me, after interacting at various jedi venues online, and feel like friends. My own studies will continue as I grow in the Force, but I hope that I can contribute in meaningful ways, and be of service whilst here.

I guess I will now also be posting Coelescere Enclave news here on this blog :)

Jedi needed for the Jedi Unity Work Group

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

A new effort to find unity for the jedi around the world has been started at the Jedi Unity Work Group, which I’m participating in.

http://jediunityworkgroup.ning.com/

So if you’re a practising jedi, or a padawan still, come and have a look at the instructions on the following page - we need real jedi from the jedi community across the world to participate in this important work, but we can’t really start the work until we have enough representatives of enough perspectives to give a rounded view.

Jedi Strange in new robes

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

I’ve just invested in an Obi Wan Kenobi replica outfit, which I hope to use a lot of over the coming years. It feels comfortable and warm, and the belt and boots are ok too. I’m not too happy with the belt fastening - it’s velcro based and doesn’t feel like it will hold to my waist under too much stress. Here are a few pics.

The under tunic is cool as well.

United Jedi - A Jedi continues his journey on the other side.

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

On the 16th July 2008 it was announced that Jedi Talturus Draconian, who founded the United Jedi, had died suddenly in a car accident in the USA.

A memorial has been started at the United Jedi forum, should you wish to leave messages of condolences or remembrance. We hope to continue the work he began.

United Jedi to bring jedi together

Monday, July 7th, 2008

I was recently asked to represent the Jedi Sanctuary as ambassador to the United Jedi - http://unitedjedi.googlepages.com/home - whose mission it is to bring different orders of jedi around the world together in harmony.

It is to be expected that this effort will take time, patience and effort, but in the full course of time this seed may bare fruit, and jediism will be all the better for it.

Jedi must learn to be mindful to be with the Force

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Jedi must learn to be mindful of their thoughts and emotions, so that they may then be mindful of the moment, and the way of the Force. I’ll be exploring this state, as I live as a Jedi of the Jedi Sanctuary, a real religion for the modern age, and you can catch up with the latest insights I have at the following page.

 http://www.thestrange1.co.uk/jedistrange/being_mindful.html

True mindfulness is an achievable state, and can allow insight into the will of the Force, or split second action should action be required.

On human rights and relationships - people are people.

Monday, March 17th, 2008

In regards to a recent posting in the Jedi Sanctuary’s email discussion list entitled “People are people” by Jedi Kidohdin.

People are people, regardless of their colour, lifestyles or beliefs, and deserve the same respect and treatment that you’d give a friend, for as long as they remain friendly.

Everyone should have an equal right to live their lives as they see fit for as long as their lives don’t have a serious negative impact upon the lives of others. This can be hard sometimes, as the dark side can be hidden or covered up, or marketed to look decent.

People may not even know that they are infringeing upon someone else’s life, because they have been removed from that decision, or the infringement has been covered up. Hard to see the dark side is.

A Jedi responds to the curious (part 6)

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Hello Mr Strange!

Your answers are indeed helpful.

As for further questions about the force; how do you look upon love and such emotions, do you repel them? I’m sure there’s a lot of different opinions about this in the sanctuary but do you know of people who kind of live a life in celibate? Since love is rejected by the majority of the jedi in the movies I was wondering where real life jedi stand in this matter.

Regards

MY ANSWER

Hello

As to your questions about emotions, love and celibacy, I do not believe there are any celibacy requirements at the Jedi Sanctuary, but you are right in that there may be varied opinions upon the subject. Celibacy itself can be quite an austere act, and the answer I believe lies somewhere between moderation and what feels right in the moment. Feelings of any kind should not be ignored, they should really be addressed in a mindful way.

Emotions of any kind and especially one as powerful as love should be accepted, but with “non attachment And awareness”. This is more or less the state of being mindful. Being mindful you feel love, and it is ok to feel love, but it will have no real and potentially harmful hold over you.

Chemicals fuel such emotions as love, which makes them all that much more powerful, so achieving a state of mindfulness, of being mindful, should be the daily goal of any Jedi, as it is an extremely useful life skill besides anything else it can allow, such as pure thought and the ability to act.

Jedi are a feeling people, and emotions play their part in daily life. Learning to listen to your feelings whilst being mindful is another underrated skill I think.

A Jedi responds to the curious (part 5)

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

Hello Mr Strange!

I think I see your point now :)

That was quite a passive answer I’d say, but it was too be expected. If there would appear a global sith organisation bent on thwarting the progress of you and your fellow jedi, how would you respond to such a threat? Although I seriously doubt this is ever to become I just thought I should ask.

Regarding the jedi way developed from the star wars movies, how far would you say it has gone and why do you think it has grown to these proportions? I mean the star wars phenomena is huge. Do you think its progress is related to the fact that sci-fi tend to be very popular among the younger male population of society or were people simply in the need of a new philosophy, religion although most of the teachings were drawn from already existing religions?

Regards

MY ANSWER

Hello

I also doubt that such a sith organisation could exist. Hypothetically, and to answer your question, Jedi may only defend themselves, and others, as we are peacekeepers.

I believe there are a good few more organisations than the Jedi Sanctuary that follow the jedi way, or variations, and more may come into being in the future, and it seems to be a worldwide movement, judging by the diverse membership of the Jedi Sanctuary, but it is still in its infancy, and will be for sometime.

The Star Wars movies did have a huge impact, and not just upon younger male populations, as I’m sure the ladies at the Jedi Sanctuary would tell you ;). However, the fact that there are signs that society may be threatened with breakdown may have something to do with this new global movement, as could the need for a movement that is both appealing to the masses and relevant to the modern age. I think the fact that the teachings of jediism come from many world wide religions and movements makes it acceptable and could explain its appeal to such a diverse range of people.

Again, I hope this helps.
