Dr Teeth FC - A Hall of Fame (it's a tribute page).
I began playing football in Leyland back when I was
a kid, but I didn't really begin playing until I got together with a group
of friends and formed a football team to play in local amateur
football leagues and competitions.
Our
first 7 a side football team began playing as
Chien Merde Paulette FC at St.Mary's 7 a side football leagues, in Leyland, Lancashire.
We played there nearly every thursday night for about 11 years (1997-2008), and entered the
cup on occasion, played friendlies, and at several small tournaments in Manchester
during this great time.
After
we found out that Paul didn't appreciate having a football team named after
him we later changed the team name to Dr Teeth FC. We thought that we'd
get better games every week with this club name, because no one likes to get
beat by a team of muppets - we still beat them, some
of the time ;).
I don't think the team's still
going, but even if we never play again it was a honour to play in
goal.
